Friday Funnies First Edition!

My daughter is three years old and has two great loves in life: talking and pickles. This is her eating a pickle.

But that's not the funny part.

As I said, she talks a lot. When I say a lot, I mean she pretty much never stops unless she's asleep. Not even when she's eating. Or when someone else is talking. Or when there is no one in the room to listen.

I'm just waiting for the day when she learns how to talk in her sleep. Then our house will never be quiet again...

In this seeming endless stream of chatter, there occasionally drop a few gems of pint-sized entertainment. For your Friday pleasure, here are a few of the recent amusements that have made their way from her brain and out her mouth.

"My favorite color is pink. When it's done being pink, my favorite color will be red. When it's done being red, my favorite color will be orange. When it's done being orange, my favorite color will be blue. When it's done being blue, my favorite color will be brown. When it's done being brown, my favorite color will be black. When it's done being black, I will never have a favorite color again."

At least she has a plan, right? Although, she did wake up this morning and tell me her favorite color is now purple, and that wasn't even on the list.

As said to Grandma:
"You need to put your glasses back on so I can see you better."

Most recently, we have (apparently) gained a new resident in our backyard. It is a very sneaky animal. If you get too close, it will scare you because it is a tiny monster. It is sneaky because it never, ever moves... I took a picture for you to form your own opinion.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's a piece of plastic. But don't tell her. She spent twenty minutes staring out the window just to catch it moving. She hasn't sat that still since...well, ever.

Stay tuned each Friday for future funnies. If you have any you'd like to share of your own child, please send us an email at thevillageformoms@gmail.com. You may just have the next Village comedian!

Oh my goodness she is hilarious! My little girl talks in her sleep so it should be interesting what happens when she really starts talking. :)

Love it! I wonder what crazy things my son will say when he finally begins talking. In the meantime, we are thoroughly enjoying seeing how many different ways he can get stuck trying to hide when I tell him it is naptime.
